DM Birds practices responsible breeding. Our closed, indoor facilities are supported with filtered water, purified air, humidifiers and independent heating and cooling. All of our "breeder" birds are treated like family. They all live in spacious cages with plenty of healthy perches and toys. We feed only the best in pellet, seed and fresh foods. They all get to spend time away from their nest boxes and supervised time out of their cages to play and explore. They all get plenty of human contact. All of our birds are also entertained by either radio or satellite television. In short... all birds here, family, breeders and babies, get spoiled. Babies are kept with their parents as long as possible and then hand-fed in our nursery and properly socialized. Eggs are not taken and then incubated unless there is no other recourse. All babies are completely weaned, vet checked, bathed and groomed (extremely important) and socialized before they go home with their customized baby book to their new family. The result? Some of the healthiest, happiest and friendliest babies you will ever find. A lot of time and love goes into the care of our birds. DM Birds also carries a complete line of toys, foods, perches, swings and cages to assist you in a lifetime of joy with your new feathered family member. |

While DM Birds has rescued several different parrots we are not a bird rescue. Please also note that we do not rescue people's pets for the sake of turning them into breeders and are opposed to such practices. DM Birds will not sell unweaned birds ever. All babies must be completely weaned and hold their weight before they go to their new families.

Tony ~ Quaker Parrot Tony, named after Tony Soprano of HBO fame, may be the smallest of the parrots here but has more attitude then any other three combined. She is particularly fond of cartoons and does one of the funniest rooster imitations ever. |

Rocky ~ Congo African Grey Romeo of the Greys, Rocky, is a rescue bird. His feet became crippled from his last home using a hard perch that was way too small for his feet so he requires a little extra care. He loves to blow kisses and have his cheeks scratched. Rocky loves to watch any kind of auto racing on TV. |

Gandolph ~ Blue and Gold Macaw Gandolph, another rescue bird, is the largest of the parrots here both in size and clown. The picture is of Gandolph's third birthday. He loves to meet people, in particular kids, and just enjoyed his first public appearance at the Nile for the premier of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. |

Maximus ~ Panama Amazon Max came to live with us when the teen taking care of him left for college and his mother had problems handling him. We don't know much about him other then he was found in a garage missing a toe and that for some odd reason he really loves to watch golf. |

Pele ~ Blue Front Amazon We know that we are at least Pele's sixth (and last) home. Pele's most endearing quality is his love of music. In particular, for Etta James and Frank Sinatra although he dabbles in just about all types of music. I
Left My Heart..... |

Costner and Dow ~ Camaroon Greys Both are just over one year old. Costa (in his blue vest) is one of the biggest Greys we have ever seen. A self proclaimed Star Wars fanatic he can mimic just about every sound effect Lucas has invented. Dow, like any little sister, emulates Queen Mabb in every way she can. Some days even we have trouble figuring out who said what. |
